                    Where has Summer Gone

Well I did it again,  I haven't blogged in 2 months.  I try but there just isn't enough hours in the day , days in the week or weeks in the months .  Really, I have just been busy.

June was a whirlwind.  Getting ready and showing at the first ever New York Country Living Fair was crazy.  It was held at the  fairgrounds in Rhinebeck, NY. , which is in the Hudson Valley.  It was a gorgeous area.  So historic.  We passed by President Roosevelt's home and the Vanderbilts everyday.
All of the little towns were so quaint with shops and cafes.  I definitely will be going back.
The show was fabulous as always.  Great vendors. shoppers and food !  What more could you ask for? It did rain a little on Friday, but it didn't stop the shoppers.  They were out and about.

When I used to have a retail store about 6 years ago,  I bought from Primitives by Kathy.  Well guess what ?  She shopped at my booth at the show.  Thought that was kinda neat.  She and Annie were even kind enough to take a photo with me.

The first week of July, we took a much needed vacation. And then it was back to work.  You know ...Auctions, junking, cleaning and fixing it all and of course sewing.  We have 4 fall shows, staring August 23rd and 24th with Bella Rustica in Nashville, TN.  So, I better get back at it.    I'll leave you with a few pics from the CLFair and some auction goodies !!!

Happy Easter

As most of you know , I collect old postcards , advertising and scrap .  I use these images to create my pillow covers.  These images are just too beautiful to be forgotten.  This is one of my favorite Easter postcards.  It's so vibrant and whimsical.  I think we would all love to see a tiny little chick bringing spring flowers to us.  I know I would!!  Have a blessed Easter .

It's Show Time

Yes, it's that time of the year , for our first show.  We are heading out today for Nashville, TN., to The Vintage Marketplace Tailgate Antiques Show at the Hendersonville Expo Center.  It should be a great show.  This is the second year for the The Vintage Marketplace to be included in this long running antique show.  Lots of great vendors, eye candy and yes, even entertainment.  The show runs Feb. 14th - 16th, so bring your sweetheart out for a good time .
Finished packing the trailer at about 2 am this morning, then pack our suitcases  and now it's time to hit the road.   Hope to see you there.

Make New Friends But Keep The Old

Well,  2012 was a pretty good year .  I have no complaints.  I was very blessed all in all,  with good health for me and my family.  You can't really ask for more than that.  So thankful!

We also made a lot of  new friends...., show friends , picker friends, shopper friends, and junker friends.   Make new friends but keep the old, one is silver and the other is gold.  That's a song I learned in Brownies, years ago, and it's so true.  You just never forget somethings.
