Busy May!!!!!!!

May has been a very busy month for us. We had five weeks to buy, repurpose and pack all of our finds for the Springfield Extravaganza in Ohio. WOW!!! We did it. Springfield was great, better than we had hoped. We met a lot of wonderful people, including the gals from Nostalgias Cottage aka Kathy and Terri. And yes we bought one of their clocks! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Both of our neighbors were so nice to us. Gooseberry Patch was there signing books and guess what? We got signed cookbooks, too! If you have never been to the Extravaganza, you need to go. Since this was our first show as a vendor, we did not get to do much shopping. Boo Hoo! We will be going back in September for the next show, and maybe we will get to shop more then. All work and no play makes for some sad gals and one grumpy driver on the way home. aka TIM.

Well, besides the show we both had graduates. So we have had parties to decorate for and cookouts to throw. Wow, glad that is all over with. Congrats to our graduates!!! We are so proud of them.

This week we will be revamping the booth at the I-24 Antique Mall, trying to get our Etsy store stocked and hitting some auctions. Fun! Fun!

Here are some pics from Springfield and also check out our new Facebook page.

Back From Texas

"The sign of Good Things to Come"

Well we finally made it back from Texas (Round Top that is) and we had a blast. Our husbands went with us to help, and eat!!!! We went to Royers Cafe in Round Top and the food was great and the atmosphere never disappoints. The Rose Emporium was also on the agenda and it was absolutely beautiful. The trailer/truck and car were all loaded to the top with good buys. If you have never been to Round Top, you have got to go. It is hard to imagine that many antiques in one area, there are so many different shows along the roadside. Warrenton, Malberger Farm, La Bahia to name a few.

Come check out the booth at the I-24 Antique Mall, we have added some new stuff and will be adding more soon. We are also getting ready for the May Extravaganza in Springfield Ohio, our booth #'s are 828 & 829. This is a new show for us and we are so excited about it.

As Momma says: A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!!!!!

I-24 Antique Mall Opening

Hey All, Sorry it has been so long since our last post. We had an opportunity to put a booth in the new I-24 Antique Mall, so we have been busy getting things ready. We have had a lot of fun together, (like old times) painting, repurposing and so on... Pickings have been really slim around here lately... no auctions or sales. We have had to stock our booth with things from our private stashes, but we made it!!!!

We are headed to Texas to the "BIG ONE", (Round Top Antiques Fair) at the end of this month. We hope to find lots of great buys and cool stuff to bring back. If you are in the Southern Illinois area make sure you check out the I-24 Antique Mall. It will open on March 14th M-F 10-5, and Sunday 12-5. There is also a wine tasting area inside the mall!!!

Catch ya later!!!

Shannon & Julie
