Busy, Busy, Busy
Yes , it's that time again. We are busy getting ready for The Columbus Country Living Fair. We've had a great summer, lots of rest and relaxation. Well maybe not " lots of R&R " , but it has been a lot of fun. We have even done quite a bit of picking , auctions, antique sales, flea markets and the Highway 127 Sale. You never know what you're gonna find, but we are pretty pleased with all the finds. So now we are getting it all cleaned up and ready for you. A few things I just had to keep.
We even went to market in Atlanta and did a little shopping for some great fall greenery. I just love what we selected.
I've been sewing most days . I have lots of new pillow covers , all made with real vintage grain sacks and ticking . At night , we've been working down in our barn, getting everything ready and making some great handmade items .
Well I'm gonna leave you with a few pics.
Just afew of our small finds from the Highway 127 Sale
I love the original finish on this cabinet. The metal sign is an auction find from this summer.
Crocks and scales ! Here's some of our faux fall greenery. Looks so real !
This Luck's Cake crate is from the HWY 127 Sale . It's over 2 ft long. Been making lots of ticking and quilt square flour sack towels.
Just a few of my grain sack pillow covers.

IT ' S NOT TOO LATE
No it's not too late to attend a Country Living Fair. In fact, you still have one week to make your plans. The last show for 2016 will be October 21 - 23 in Stone Mountain , GA. That's right outside of Atlanta and it's a beautiful venue.
We will not be in our usual spot. We have moved to space A 2 - 4. We will be right across from the pavilion , the first booth on the right. So you won't have far to go to get to us and all the farm fresh goods that we are bringing.
So hurry up and make those travel plans and don't forget our NEW SPACE A 2 - 4 !!
Here's a few pics from this year's Columbus Country Living Fair
.
Oh and by the way that's our friend Bonnie Kenny from South Porch Antiques in the top pic. She is having her 18th birthday today. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY Bonnie !!
If you want your picture made in front of the pumpkin tower like Bonnie, come to the fair at Stone Mountain. See you there .

Make Plans Now
It's never to early to start planning your Country Living Fair Getaway. I always say , if I wasn't a vendor , I definitely would be coming to shop . Oh, who am I kidding , I'm a vendor and I still shop. I just have to work most of the time, but hey, that's what I'm there for.
So start talking to your friends, your sisters, your co-workers, your neighbors or anybody else you can think of and MAKE PLANS NOW!!

You Just Never Know
That's right...You just never know what your booth is gonna look like until you get there.. Yes I always have a plan penciled out, that I change many many times ,but until show time it's always negotiable.
It starts out months ahead picking and shopping for all the things that we just love. Usually we buy way more than we can stuff into our booth ( this happens often ). When we start placing the large pieces ,they just never seem to fit like they did on paper. So we just keep on adjusting and rearranging until ....."Wow , I love the way this looks" Well you get the picture. Our next show is The Columbus Ohio Country Living Fair Sept 18- 19 - 20 . This would be a great weekend getaway or a perfect girls trip. So come on out and see us because you just never know.......
Thought I would leave you with some pics from The Nashville TN Country Living Show in April.

2014 In Review
Here it is February and I'm just now posting about last year's shows. Well better late than never or that's what they say. We had a really great year...Great Shows, Great Friends and Great Junk !!!By junk , I mean all kinds of vintage , antique or unique finds , that I ( or anybody else ) just can't live without.
So now it's time to do it all over again. Really, it never stops. The treasure hunting is a year round thing . It's just in your blood. You have to do it.... go to an auction , hit a good flea market , or hit your favorite hot spot. Yes, we all have our top secret junking places.
Once, we've found all of that loot, then the work begins. We load it , unload it , clean it ( think raccoon poop ) fix it, price it , load it again, unload it again, ( yes, our backs hurt ) display it ( that's the fun part ) and we sell it . And we LOVE it. It's just what we do .
Here are some pics from last years shows.
Hope you enjoyed the pics. If you get a chance, come see us at one of our 2015 shows.
Thanks for stopping by.
